Don’t miss this year’s 31st Annual St. John’s Kula Festival.
St. John’s Kula Festival is Sept 28, 2013 from 9:00am to 4:00pm on the grounds of the church in cool & lovely Keokea (across from the county park) at 8992 Kula Highway. This is a local favorite event each year with a bit of something for everyone. We will have live entertainment all day headlined by award winning musician, George Kahumoku, Jr. and including Uluwehi Guerrero’s Na Leo Lani O Maui Choir, the Isle of Maui Pipe Band, Joel Katz, Eric Molina & friends, SideTracks, and Upcountry Celtic.
There will ono food like Portuguese Bean Soup, waffles with fresh Kula strawberries, Maui Cattle Company Hamburgers and chow fun and more, famous Kula produce, home baked goods, a wide variety of plants and cut flowers, children’s games, including face painting, silent auction, a quilt show, crafters and gift baskets. This year there will be a $1 admission fee with children under 10 yrs. free. The proceeds from this event are shared with different charities each year. This year’s beneficiaries are Malama Family Recovery Center and a new ministry sponsored by the four Episcopal churches on Maui and friends called a “Cup of Cold Water” care van which seeks to aid the homeless of Maui.
Donations are always welcome and help us raise money for this year’s charities. If you would like more information about the event or the church or would like to donate to the silent auction or volunteer your time, please call 878-1485.
